Embark on a Japanese culinary adventure at By the Sea, an intimate fine dining experience set high above the beachside jungle with breathtaking ocean views. The beautifully thought-out tasting and a la carte menus cleverly fuse traditional Japanese and other Asian flavors using the daily catch and organic produce from the gardens. The air-conditioned sushi bar and teppanyaki table add to the exquisite choices, while a fine selection of Japanese sakes and extensive selection of wines compliment the creative cuisine. Sushi cooking classes are also offered.

Located directly on the beach and open for breakfast and dinner, Kashiveli embodies locally-sourced, nutritious ingredients and vibrant flavors. Breakfasts celebrate the region's wide variety of fresh tropical fruits with an ever-changing array of smoothies, juices and fresh fruit plates made to order as well as traditional Maldivian offerings such as Mas Huni and international favorites. Four evenings per week see the beach and overwater bar transformed with a buzzing market experience with the Asian Street Market, Mediterranean Spice Souk, Passage to India and Maldivian Seafood Grill nights.

Enjoy salads fresh from the garden, catch of the day, Mediterranean delicacies from the casual daytime menu or the exciting Tapas menu. Sip an herbal mojito, indulge in a chocolate milkshake cocktail, or choose from 24 martinis on the extensive drinks menu under a starlit sky.
Afternoons and Evenings
Enter through a doorway and descend down a flight of glass stairs to a chilled, cavernous cellar underground. Slip on a winter fleece and put a hot water bottle underfoot while exploring more than 500 varieties of wine from more than 30 regions around the world. Wine tasting and wine dinners are hosted by the resort's sommelier who will educate and surprise guests, stimulating the palate with unexpected food pairings. There's also the opportunity to discover handmade chocolates as well as artisanal cheese and cold cuts from the deli room.
